About

The MIS blog was established for the purpose of educating not just students of this field, but of every major, about the spectacular yet highly misunderstood major of Management Information Systems. It is easy to base conclusions on assumptions and common word of mouth about a particular topic, and that’s precisely why we saw the need for this blog. We post weekly articles pertaining to what MIS is as a field, how it is different from other “computer” majors, and interesting subtopics students can discover in this major and perhaps pursue as a career.

As of now, this blog is administered by four spectacular and devoted writers:

Fahad Masood Reda

I studied Management Information systems at King Abdulaziz University in College of Economics and Administration, and then worked as an I.C.T Teacher at Thamer International School for three years. I am now pursuing my Master’s degree in Computer Information Systems from the Computing and Information Technology College at King Abdulaziz University.

Huda Abdul Wahid

I graduated from Dar al Hekma University in 2017, with a BSc. in Management Information Systems. I have worked at Destination Jeddah and created a Leave Management System for them. As of interests, I am an ardent reader and a soon-to-be certified Ethical Hacker. I am a politics, philosophy and world affairs enthusiast as well, this being the main reason that compelled me to attend the Harvard National Model United Nations Conference in Boston.

Rayan Mously

A Master degree holder in Computer Information Systems (CIA), I have 2 years experience in Information Systems Analysis with Saudi Aramco. I am among the first employees that were certified in CompTIA Security+, EC-Council Incident Handler Professional, EC-Council Disaster Recovery Professional, ISO/IEC 27005 Risk Manager. I am a passionate reader in information security and I have the hunger to be the best in it. My favorite subjects to learn more about are COBIT5, NIST 800, CISM, CISSP, CEH and more.
